"James and the Giant Peach" Blu-ray: August 3rd



James and the Giant Peach will be available on Blu-ray on August 3rd, 2010 by Disney.

You can pre-order the Blu-ray and DVD combo pack on Amazon.com today for $24.99.

The 1996 stop-motion film was directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline) and produced by Tim Burton.

This all-new digital restoration will include the following bonus features:

• New BD exclusive: Spike the Aunts interactive game inspired by the game that plays after the end movie credits. Try your hand at spiking the evil aunts with the rhino and ring up major points.
• Production featurette – A look at the making of the film.
• “Good News” music video performed by Randy Newman.
• Original theatrical trailer.

this is a great movie, but i wish they would give henry selick more credit, he is a good director.

I love how they completely forget to mention that Henry Selick is a genius and also directed "Coraline" which honestly..I felt was a better film than "Alice in Wonderland." No respect.

They overused Tim Burton's name in this trailer, they should just stick with the original directors view.
