Lohan Wants to be Alice

A disturbing statement has been made regarding Tim Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland: Lindsay Lohan wants to be Alice.

Sounding more like Veruca Salt than Alice, Lohan told Harper’s Bazaar: "I hope they don't give it to an unknown. I'm ideal. I could really do it justice. I've been down the role."

Though only Lohan has said anything about this, we will have to wait and see whether Burton's version of the Lewis Carroll story will be a fantasy/adventure film, horror flick, or disaster movie.

Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.

gag me with a spoon, no worries though, Tim will see she couldn't be more wrong for the part.

Imagine Tim reading this. "Who the hell is Lindsay Lohan?"

Lohen is such a loss, she needs to get her throat cut by Sweeney!

Please no.
Very few things can ruin a Burton movie. She happens to be one of them.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
What a pompous bitch!
"I really hope they don't want an unknown...blah blah"
You had your chance with Hollywood and you totally fucked up.
Oh no!
Give some other girl, who probably has more acting talent in her eyebrow than this chick does, a chance at this!

First of all, this article has a strong bias.

Second, Lohan would be a terrible Alice but I don't think we have to worry about her being cast as Alice.

Third, I think I could deal with Lindsey Lohan being Alice better than I could with motion-capture.

ummm o.k how about no! how about heck NO! I mean this can't be true this has can't be hahahaha oh my gosh i can't even image. If she get the part it will be to go see this film which is sad to say because ITS A TIM BURTON FILM!

Anonymous: I explained the bias. I give up on this one. She's wretched no matter what, and the least that could be done was to lighten it up with some humor. I rarely editorialize articles on this blog, but I felt inclined to with this one.

But you're right, I don't think we have much to worry about.

I have read on a website that Johnny was trying to get the part of Alice!
Do you know anything about this?
'Cause to me sound absurd.

I'm curently directing a gthic/victorian stage version of Alice for my university idssertaion, is there anyway I can invite Tim? Or send him a recording of the performance? I would love to be involved with this project, I am Alice and Burton obsessed!

Omg if Lohan will be Alice the movie is doooooomed!!
But I really don´t think that he will let her be Alice!!

I think she's completely wrong for the part. I'd rather they cast a new-comer, so the movie can actually be enjoyed as a fantasy tale rather then seeing a famous person on screen. I hope it's done somewhat like Pan's Laberynth, instead of just a happy fantasy tale. I think that would be really charming.

I think she means she has been down the HOLE ?

*retches*
that talent-less piece of meat wants to be in a Burton production?!
What an arrogant bitch..saying she was made for the part. Thats pathetic.

It pisses me off that she would even consider being in one of Tim's works..being the preppy red-haired wannabe rocker she is.

Vincent should feed her to his dog Abercrombie..

I thought Sarah Michelle Gellar was rumored to be Alice?!
I think he should get Christina Ricci to play her especially if he's basing the style of the movie on the American McGees Alice video game, If you want creepy & gothic you get the girl who played Wednesday Addams!!
Hopefully Lohan will die of stupidity before casting begins...

ahhh! this is terrible news! if she gets the part there should b a tim burton boycott or something.

Unknown said...

no, if she does Alice I am not seeing it.

please Tim Burton don't let her do Alice! She will ruin it!

if burton gets lohan i'll stop being a fan of his work i'm sorry but she just can get the part

Tim has common sense, he is usually straight forward when picking his actors. I can see Evanna Lynch from Order of the Pheonix play Alice. She is a fan of Burtons and she is british (well, irish. But still...). She fits perfectly!

Oh my...sorry Lindsay but I highly doubt you'll fit the role of Alice. However if Tim Burton chooses you I'll have to swallow by seething hatred of you...actually no, I won't. I just simply cannot see my hero choosing Lohan!! I might spontaneously combust if he chooses her.

Thank god Tim Burton isn't stupid. He'd rather have a lesser known actress who actually may have talent than a well-known, screwed up, lost talent. This is why they kept the "well-knowns" out of Harry Potter and that is why it was of high quality and still kept going! (Yes yes there are some well-knowns in but you understand my point).

Lohan has been in mainly teeny bopper films and a few flops. I really doubt she could do an art film, let alone a Burton creation.
