Empire brings us a new image that has surfaced from Wonderland: Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, with what might be the Dormouse in her hand.
There will apparently be many actual animal characters in the film, as the other Empire character photos suggest.

Actually, that's a common mouse, not a dormouse, so it's more probably the Mouse that took part in the Caucus Race around chapter 2.
^That's why I was skeptical. It didn't look like an actual dormouse. But I couldn't think of any other mouse character (and neither could the articles), or at least not one that was so prominent. But you might be correct.
