Oh, come now....How tacky can you be? A MUSICAL? The movie , itself , was strangely moving and highly personal for Tim Burton. A musical would only cheapen it. Seems Hollywood's not the only place that needs a touch of originality. Have you no imagination, Broadway? Tsk...
Wow... Makes me feel sorry that I don't live in England... Matthew Bourne is fantastique (swan lake was spectacular), and I'll bet he did the most wonderful job with Edward. Too bad these kind of performances never come to Israel...
Oh when I first read it I thought they were making a remake of the soundtrack and putting more tracks on there, silly me. Well I guess I would like to see anything done on Edward, even a musical. Hell, wouldn't it be neet if they made it into a cartoon show or something! Ha, strange ideas.
Here is the full teaser of the Corpse Bride ! They put the music of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" at the beginning ^^ (certainly to help us waiting for Danny's creations..). Here it is : http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1367920&sdm=web&qtw=640&qth=400 Enjoy this little piece of heaven...
Wait, then what was the cool little peice at the begining of the first corpse bride trailer. You know when he's saying,"Tommorow Victory we shall be...mmmm.....mmmmmmm....mmmm." It was a weird little song that I can't really describe, anyone know what that was?
That's true, but I can't find from where it has been taken.. This hauting harpsichord underlined with a strange "tick-tock" in the distance (aaaaah...Tim..). I keep on searching.
As long as we are talking about theme songs, does anyone remember the trailer for the rugrats movie? they played the beetlejuice theme song for that, which didn't really fit at all! even thought thats a good theme, but it doesn't go along with the rugrats. what do you guys think?
i don't mean to intrude, but i believe that the theme used in the corpse bride trailer that seemed to be from nowhere, is that of "what's this?" from The Nightmare Before Christmas. i could be mistaken, but that's what it was in the trailer i saw when i went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (which you should all see!! it's wonderful!!). :D
I'm not sure about a musical, I mean, the role of Edward would obviously be played by different characters and in my opinion, no one could have done it as gently and as innocently as Johnny Depp. And if they could be as gentle and innocent, they STILL wouldn't pull it off. That's my final word on THAT.
Rite, now come on people! if they wanna make a musical of Edward Scissorhands, let them have their fun! of course i wont be watching it if they havemt ,made the wnding happier... for gooness sake, he should have givem the poor guy some hands!
i am just so sorry this kind of stof never comes to Denmark, it will be fantastic to se Danny elfmans music just on a stage! well i hope i can se it next time i travel to london. but why have it to be so expensiv to se a musical ?, its more expensiv then buy the movie ween it was new!

Just be happy with praying..!
Does anyone know if it's ever coming to America?

I'm so upset I can't get to the Corpse Bride trailer at work !! Thanx Caroline for the link anyway...
You're welcome !
Thats weird, cause for A series of Unfortunate Events they used the theme from Edward Scissorhands, oddly enough, it fit perfectly with the trailer.
I agree..! ^^

Yeah, I want that theme music, and what is that other song that they play when Victor is running and stuff? Thats a fun song.
