Technical problems have prevented any news being posted in a while, so here is a quick update on the latest Burton news. Alan Rickman has been cast as Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd. There are also rumours that Anthony Stewart Head (Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will play a role in the film.
In other news, The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D is now on release in the UK and Empire Magazine has an interview with Burton on their site.

ReplyDeleteI know this has nothing to do with this subject, and I hate to be a bother but does anyone know what that music is from the the very first Corpse Bride preview. It had a Harpsicord at the beggining then a kind of "tick tock tick tock" in the background. I loved that peice.
ReplyDeleteJack, buy the Corpse Bride soundtrack, you'll probably find what you want ;D
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when The Nightmare in 3-D, comes out on DVD?
ReplyDeleteI know this is off topic, but did anyone see the preview for Black Christmas? It makes me excited because everytime I see it, it reminds me of Sweeney Todd. I can't wait untill Jan.!! Theres only a few things different in the movies discirption. I mean that they both have something in common, they both chop people up.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah and I hope they do really good on the movie like Sleepy Hollow. Dark and bloody! Lol.
ReplyDeleteAlan Rickman is going to be sooooo good in this movie, I can't stand it. :-D
ReplyDeleteSo true, bonanza. He's brilliant, isn't he...?...and this type of film is perfectly suited to his style. I'm getting more and more anxious to see this thing.
ReplyDeleteThere is incorrect link for the interview. I think it should be this:

Alan Rickman! Johnny Depp! And Tim Burton! ALL IN ONE FILM!! What a lovely Christmas pressie :)
ReplyDeleteHow Burton-esque. Gosh, I just want to be Tim Burton when I grow up!
ReplyDeleteanonymous, the piece in the begining of Corpse Bride was called "According to Plan" and it's also the very first musical song in the movie.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone will enjoy the new talent of Jamie Bower as Anthony in Sweeney. He's cute, English, untried in films, but will win lots of friends!
