As we've already mentioned, Burton's latest film opened this weekend in five locations in North America. Well, according to estimates from Box Office Mojo, Corpse Bride grossed an incredible $411,000 just from those theaters alone. Its per-theater average of $82,200 was the
13th highest of all time. This bodes well for the success of the film when it goes on wide release next weekend.
We were right everyone.We all knew that Corpse Bride was going to do well and we were right. Just look at the numbers. And that's only from the limited release of the movie. This is certain to get people even more excited for the wide release this Friday. I bet the numbers for the wide release of Corpse Bride will be even larger than this. What more can I say? It's already been said.

ReplyDeleteWhat were the five locations? On the official website and everywhere I've seen, it only listed L.A., New York, and Toronto. Friday is my birthday too, Corpsetina! The release of "Corpse Bride" was the perfect present.

ReplyDeleteanonymous, i've seen it as well (fabulous, it was!), and i'd probably give it an eight out of ten. two points shy of a perfect score because i think it went a wee bit too fast. it was only about an hour and fifteen minutes long, but what a terrific hour and fifteen minutes it was!

ReplyDeleteI saw Corpse Bride the other day, luckily my friend got me premiere tickets. Aboslutely amazing, I can understand how it made so much, considering it's not even released to the public yet. You better go see it for yourself. I know I loved it!
